Some Of The City’s Funds Will Go Towards Opioid Epidemic

The Evansville City Council begins action on an ordinance to re-appropriate various city funds.

Part of the allocation is for the Opioid Settlement Fund.

Mayor Stephanie Terry, who spoke at the council meeting, recommended a half-dozen organizations to receive part of those funds.

The funds, all totaled, would add up to more than a million dollars and go toward combating the opioid epidemic in Evansville.
