A man convicted of child molestation in Warrick County is dead.
40-year old Floyd Caudill of Oakland City was discovered at Lake Glendale Campground in Golconda Illinois.
Illinois State Police said he would not come out of his tent, from which he reportedly fired a shot.
A deputy marshal returned fire, and Caudill was found dead inside the tent.
He had been released on bond while his molestation case proceeded.
An arrest warrant was issued for him after his conviction.
