Two Owensboro teens with ties to a National Partisan Movement will serve time for attacking an Afghan refugee in 2022.
FBI discovered that the teens were influenced by an extremist group who were recruiting online.
Around 170 refugees found their way to Owensboro just weeks after the US military pulled out of Afghanistan.
The incident happened in the lobby of the Comfort Suites.
There was suspicion of a hate crime because one of the attackers yelled white power during the attack.
The two teens will each serve 30 days inside a juvenile detention center.
