A 56-year-old Evansville man is facing attempted murder charges.
Police responded to the intersection of South Denby Avenue and East Cherry Street for an assault in progress.
A witness saw the suspect attack the victim with a weapon and repeatedly said he was going to kill them.
The victim told officers the argument started while they were inside the home.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries to his head.
Tarrell Thomas was placed into custody and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail early Sunday morning.
