A Madisonville man is facing several charges including attempting to disarm an officer.
Police responded to a call on Sunday evening at the Hidden Hills Apartments.
40-year-old Christopher Redman is accused of beating a man in the head and throwing a bottle into the windshield of a car.
When the officers arrived Redman ran inside an apartment.
When police kicked in the door Redman grabbed the barrel of the officer’s gun.
A taser was used and he was taken into custody.
He is in the Hopkins County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
