Honor Flight of Southern Indiana held a guardian training event at the Catholic Center in Evansville yesterday.
The volunteers will escort 86 veterans on a trip of a lifetime to the Nation’s Capital on April 13.
The role of the guardian is to help the veteran with anything they may need.
There will be a lot of walking as they navigate their veteran to the sites in Washington, D.C., close to 10 miles.
The group will take off from Evansville Regional Airport at 6:00 am and return the same day around 8:00 pm.
