Henderson Police Chief Sean McKinney announced Tuesday that he is stepping down from his position.
McKinney will take a leave of absence to devote his time to family health issues.
He will remain an employee of the Henderson Police Department with the rank of Police Officer.
Upon his return, McKinney will serve as a School Resource Officer at the beginning of next school year.
