An Evansville man was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a Posey County Courtroom Wednesday.
37-year-old Gilbert Eaton pleaded guilty to multiple charges including possession of meth and unlawful carry of a handgun.
Court records show a Mt Vernon Police officer pulled Eaton over for speeding just past midnight on February 10, 2023.
A K-9 indicated that there were drugs in the vehicle.
During a search, a 9mm handgun, as well as over 28 grams of meth, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia were found.
