City Pool Closed This Summer Because Of Safety Concerns

Hartke Pool will not be open for the summer.

City leaders say the reason is safety concerns.

Danielle Crook, director of the Parks and Recreation Department says structural issues in and around the pool led to the decision.

Instead, Lorraine Pool will be open seven days a week, as will Mosby and Rochelle-Lander’s pools throughout the summer.

Hartke pool was last renovated 35 years ago.
