State Representative Ryan Hatfield has made it official.
He will run for Vanderburgh Circuit Court judge, rather than seek re-election to the Indiana House.
He filed papers declaring his candidacy for the bench on Thursday.
His decision to seek the judgeship came after Judge David Kiley announced he would not seek re-election.
Hatfield says if elected he will inspire trust in the courts and judges, and uphold the law.
