Tri-state doctors are seeing an increase in strep throat.
They are trying to stop cases from getting out of control before other complications arise.
Strep throat can lead to more serious health issues such as kidney inflammation and rheumatic fever if not treated with antibiotics.
Symptoms can include pain while swallowing, fever, chills, stomach pain, headaches, and vomiting.
If you think you have strep throat go to urgent care or your primary doctor.
