The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has released more information regarding the shooting on Skipping Stone Drive Monday night.
The homeowner explained that the male attacked him at the end of his driveway, which prompted him to fire his handgun in self-defense.
The homeowner cooperated fully with the investigation and was not arrested.
The suspect was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Earlier in the evening deputies responded to a “check welfare” regarding a subject walking along Browning Road behaving strangely.
The male is from Vincennes and had no known ties to the area in which he was found.
