A Louisiana woman arrested in connection with the death of a 5-year-old found abandoned inside a suitcase was sentenced on Tuesday.
41-year-old Dawn Coleman was sentenced to 30 years with five years of suspended probation.
The body of Cairo Jordan was found inside a Las Vegas imprinted suitcase.
It was discovered by a man searching for mushrooms in April 2022, in Pekin, Indiana.
Coleman’s fingerprint was identified on a black plastic bag containing the child’s body.
The boy’s mother Dejuane Anderson remains at large.
