The Flock Safety System is coming to Vanderburgh County.
This means that residents who live outside of the city limits will be able to benefit from this technology.
Sheriff Robinson says The Flock Safety System is the most advanced of its kind.
It reads the license plate of every vehicle that passes within range of the camera.
Notifies law enforcement of any stolen vehicles or wanted persons associated with a vehicle.
It also uses A-I technology to search for and identify vehicles.
The Evansville Police Department has used this technology for over the last year.
