One of the most memorable college basketball coaches in America has died.
Nicknamed “The General” Bobby Knight won 902 NCAA Division 1 Men’s basketball games during his coaching career.
In 1971 Indiana University hired Knight as head coach winning titles in ’76, ’81, and ’87.
Knight sparked controversy with his outspoken nature.
One of his most remembered moments is when he threw a chair across the court during a game.
He was ejected.
Bobby died Wednesday in Bloomington surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old.
