Heart Saver, a program of the Deaconess Heart Hospital and Deaconess Foundation is giving away life-saving equipment to the Evansville Police Department this afternoon.
Twenty-five automated external defibrillators will be placed in police vehicles that do not currently have one.
AEDs can increase the survival rates of sudden cardiac victims by providing defibrillation as early as possible.
