Tuesday afternoon officers were dispatched to the area of East Morgan Avenue and North Willow Road to assist medical staff.
The staff member told police that they did not feel safe transporting their patient anymore.
Officers spoke to 63 year old Michel Raley and he agreed to go with a different service to the hospital.
While officers escorted Raley to the other ambulance he became aggressive and attempted to bite an officer on his right arm.
After the incident officers found that Raley had an active warrant.
He was arrested and is facing a new charge of battery against a public safety official.
