Seven intoxicated individuals were reportedly trying to break into a building Saturday night on Fulton Avenue.
Officers found three men in the area.
Two men were cited and one was taken to the hospital.
The third man, who was lying in an alley, started shouting and interrupting.
Police tried to detain 53-year-old Eric Lang after he started attacking the officer.
Lang threatened to kill him several times.
Police state that Lang tried to headbutt another officer before being taken to the hospital for evaluation.
He was later booked into jail facing several charges.
