Wednesday afternoon Gibson County dispatch put out a “Be on the Lookout” for a blue Dodge Challenger out of Evansville.
Fort Branch Town Marshal observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 41 and attempted to pull the driver over.
31-year-old Marquita McGee sped off reaching speeds of 128 miles per hour.
She crashed after hitting a railroad crossing and managed to flee on foot into a wooded area.
The Chicago woman was apprehended and is facing several charges.
She remains in the Gibson County Jail on a $1500 bond.
