An Evansville man was sentenced in Posey County on Tuesday for an incident that happened last February.
The Posey County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Water Tank Road and St. Wendel Cynthiana Road for a vehicle in a ditch.
Deputies suspected the driver, 42-year-old Joshua Lovell was impaired.
During an investigation, illegal narcotics and several handguns were found in a drainpipe near the crash.
Lovell admitted to the drugs but not the guns.
In court yesterday, he received a 7-year sentence.
He pleaded guilty to the gun charges and possession of meth.
