A million dollars in American Rescue Plan funding is headed the the CK Newsome Center.
The money will be used to build what’s being called a Community Kitchen.
Community residents will be able to use the kitchen for weddings, showers, and such when they rent space in the building.
Entrepreneurs will be able to rent kitchen space.
Starting in the fall, a snack room in the center will be completely remodeled with an eye toward having the community kitchen operating by the end of the hear.
