Evansville fire investigators say a candle sparked a blaze at a home last night on West Iowa Street.
When firefighters arrived they found the fire in the kitchen and living room area.
The fire was quickly put out leaving smoke damage throughout the home and the electricity being disconnected for safety purposes.
The occupant of the home and their pets got out safely.
The fire has been ruled accidental.
