Two Evansville Police Officers were involved in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon near Heidelbach Avenue and Louisiana Street.
36 year old Samuel Curry Jr., known to police to have an active warrant, was seen driving in that area.
Curry had recently made threats to kill several individuals.
Detectives observed Curry park in a gas station parking lot and called for back up.
Officers gave loud verbal commands for the suspect to raise his hands and not to move.
When Curry showed a gun that’s when officers fired their weapons.
He then surrendered.
No one was injured.
