The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has served an arrest warrant on Austin Ousley for the murder of Shawn Wildt and the attempted murder of his brother Chad Wildt.
On February 27, Ousley and a juvenile apparently forced their way into a house on Cypress Dale Road owned by the Wildt family.
Shawn and Chad were alerted by trail cameras that someone was on the property.
When confronted, Ousley shot the two brothers inside the house with a handgun.
Shawn was killed and Chad was seriously wounded.
Ousley is in critical condition and has been under guarded watch at an Indianapolis hospital after a suicide attempt.
