Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is directing flags in Vanderburgh County to be flown at half-staff today until sunset to honor Deputy Asson Hacker.
The governor has also asked businesses and residents in Vanderburgh County to do the same.
The Sheriff deputy died in the line of duty during a training exercise.
Deputy Hacker’s funeral escort leaves Boone Funeral Home for Christian Fellowship Church on Millersburg Road at 9:00.
Friends may visit from 11:00 until time of service.
