An Evansville man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of several charges in Posey County, including child molesting and rape.
21-year-old Christopher Michael Upchurch was arrested in February 2022 after the victim was interviewed at Holly’s House.
He pleaded guilty but mentally ill.
Upchurch confessed to sexually abusing a family member in August of 2020.
He told police the victim asked him to stop, but he would not allow her to leave.
He must register as sex offender for life.
