Vanderburgh County Sheriff Noah Robinson has appointed Lieutenant Nathan Sugarman as his Chief Deputy and second in command.
He was sworn in as a deputy in 1999 and has spent most of his career in the Operations Division.
He has worked in patrol as a field training deputy, and as a narcotics detective.
Sugarman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2018 and was assigned to the FBI National Task force.
Recently he was serving as the Commander of the Professional Standard’s Section.
Sheriff Robinson says the Lt. has the knowledge and experience to assist him in leading this agency.
