The City of Evansville’s official Christmas tree arrived at Civic Center around 7:15 this morning.
Industrial Contractors donated the crew and equipment to cut down the 22 ft, 16 ft wide Norway Spruce from the St. Wendel area.
It was escorted by members of the Evansville Police Department.
The tree will be decorated with about 25-thousand lights and topped with an E for Everyone ornament.
The official lighting ceremony will be November 17 at 5pm with Mayor Winnecke doing the honors.
The tree donor wishes to remain anonymous.
