The Board of Public Works has given the go ahead on a project for affordable living apartments in Evansville.
It’s located on Kentucky Avenue at Cherry Street next to the Christian Life Center.
Close to $500,000 will be used through a COVID-19 Community Block Grant to renovate the existing complex.
Officials say they hope the apartments will help those who lost their homes during the pandemic.
Nine of the units will be available to rent and one unit will be used for transitional housing.
