Emergency crews were sent to East Iowa Street near Sherman about 4:30 this morning.
They found a victim with a gunshot wound sitting in his car in front of his home.
He says another car drove up and someone inside it fired shots in his direction.
The victim was shot in the head but is expected to recover.
No arrests have been made, as detectives look for more information on what led to the shooting.
