The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is keeping a special eye open for avian flu as this year’s water fowl hunting season goes on.
Some other states have seen an uptick in deaths of wild birds due to the sickness.
DNR says symptoms vary and some birds don’t show any symptoms at all.
Symptoms in water fowl include swimming in circles, lack of coordination or tremors.
Hunters are being reminded not to take birds that are apparently sick.
