A man charged in the death of his grandmother is due in court today.
John Stevens reportedly called dispatch to say his grandmother was dead in her home’s back yard on East Michigan Street.
Investigation revealed that 85 year old Betty Stevens died of strangulation and blunt trauma to the head.
Bond for John Stevens was set at $500 thousand.
