When a first responder dies in the line of duty Supporting Heroes is there for the loved ones they leave behind.
Jerri Lynn Johnson knows this first hand.
Her son Jeremy was only 18 in 2012 when the fire truck he was in ran off the road and hit a utility pole.
Jerri is now there for others going through the same thing.
The Supporting Heroes Gala is Saturday at the Owensboro Convention Center.
