A fire broke out early Saturday at the old lumber yard near the water tower in Carmi, Illinois.
A large portion of the town lost power and internet for several hours.
The city’s water building sustained some damage.
It’s estimated that five homes were damaged from the heat.
Firefighters from Crossville, Enfield and Norris City were called to help.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
