An Evansville man wasn’t happy when he was kicked out of the Tiki Bar on Main Street not once, but twice early Saturday morning.
A witness told EPD, 25 year old Nicholas Hayes tried fighting a bouncer then drove off at a high rate of speed almost hitting the Victory Theater.
The witness said he saw a crowd of people trying to stop Hayes in an SUV after seeing him hit a woman.
She got out of the vehicle and was tackled and choked by the suspect.
Hayes admitted to police that he had been drinking and refused a chemical test and denied any wrongdoing.
He was booked into the Vanderburgh County jail facing several charges.
