The United Way of Southwestern Indiana is sharing their investment of $400,000 into improving local mental health care access for low-income residents.
The Mental Health Pathway Grant is the first funding opportunity for these services since the organization has shifted its focus.
Catholic Charities will receive just under $178,000 to increase the hours and capacity of a part-time counselor.
Another nonprofit receiving help is Youth First they were given over $222,000 to help underwrite the cost of hiring additional social work staff.
