On Friday I met and showed my support to animal rescuers and animal lovers to peacefully protest and plead for Inotiv to release beagles that they plan to euthanize this week. Local and national rescues have pledged to foster and adopt these pups into loving homes.
Time is running out…
*I realize this is a “news’ story to some. I’m not a news reporter, just an on air personality with my own opinions. It’s my opinion that these beagles should be allowed to be adopted and not euthanized. That’s my bias on this issue. ~Debra Miller

I met Samantha Morton, Indiana State Director, State Affairs of the Humane Society United States. She sent me this today.
Today, I am asking you to take action again. We are making a FINAL plea to Governor Holcomb to urge Inotiv to release the 32 beagles before they are killed this week. There are a couple of ways you can help. Please note that we are only asking Indiana residents to take action on the below items.
- Please tweet at or tag First Lady Janet Holcomb and First Dog Henry Holcomb. Here is a draft post/tweet, but please make it your own:
This week, Inotiv is planning to kill 32 beagle puppies who have been used in cruel toxicity tests in their Mount Vernon, IN lab. Please urge Inotiv to release the beagles immediately. There are several local shelters standing by ready to help take the dogs and find them loving homes. Inotiv has failed to provide proof that they are legally required to kill the dogs as they claim. #freetheinotiv80
- Call the Governor’s Office at 317-232-4567 and ask that Governor Holcomb urge Inotiv to immediately release the beagles TODAY!
If you could, please also ask your Hoosier friends and family to take the above actions as well. Thank you for all you do for animals in Indiana!
For the beagles,
Sam
