There was a massive manhunt for a suspect that shot an Owensboro police officer Saturday night.
It started after authorities were sent to check out a suspicious person at the Eagles gas station on 18th and Triplett Streets.
Officials say 32 year old Bronson Lindsey’s vehicle had matched the description from a robbery earlier in the day at Franey’s Food Mart.
When police started questioning the suspect that’s when he became violent and shot an officer in the arm.
Bronson then took off in a police cruiser and was found hours later at a relative’s home in Spencer County.
He is being held in Indiana pending extradition back to Owensboro.
The officer is fine and is already back home.
