The entire city of Petersburg is without water this morning. Mayor R.C. Klipsch says a 12-inch water main broke in a field near Cedar Street early this morning.
Pike Central Middle and High School, along with Petersburg Elementary are closed for the day.
The town is awaiting an emergency locate person who was almost two hours away when we talked to the mayor.
Repairs should be complete, if all goes well, by late afternoon or early evening.
