A recent statement was issued from the Securities and Exchange Commission that CenterPoint CEO Dave Lesar will get a $37.8 million “retention award”.
This news angers most utility customers as they watch their monthly bill double and triple.
For some, this is 70 percent of their monthly income.
A meeting will be held by Congregations Acting for Justice and Empowerment on May 9 to discuss rates and ask the company questions from the public.
They hope to have around 1,400 people in attendance.
