A man accused of stabbing a fireman, coming to his aid, pled guilty to attempted aggravated battery in court on Thursday.
Last June fire crews responded to a call in the 4800 block of Ridge Knoll Drive for a man not breathing.
When a fireman opened the door, 35 year old John Deer stabbed him in the face with a large butcher style knife.
Deer came after the fireman again, when other crew members restrained him until police arrived.
Deer’s girlfriend said, she had given him Narcan minutes before, because he was blue and was not responding to CPR.
The fireman is ok.
Deer will be sentenced May 17.
