Vanderburgh County Sheriff deputies went to a home on Tupman Road to serve 39 year Karl Gentry with a drug dealing warrant.
He refused to come to the door, so deputies called his girlfriend, who owned the property.
She called Gentry and told him to surrender.
Shortly after, he stepped outside.
Once deputies were inside, they found marijuana, mushrooms, edible THC gummies and packaging believed to send illegal narcotics through the mail.
All of the items were in reach of his daughter.
The child is now with her mother.
Gentry is being detained at the Vanderburgh County jail.
