The slogan “Building A Better America” says it all, especially for a small town like Tell City, Indiana.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made a visit to Perry County on Wednesday.
He went to the Ohio River Port along with Mayor Chris Cail and other local officials, in hopes to upgrade the pier, that is currently floating.
The city received a $1.6 million dollar federal grant to pay for the assembly of a 40 foot diameter pier for a crane to unload cargo.
Buttigieg says, this will increase productivity by up to 60%.
