Indiana State Police pulled a man over for driving 87 mph on Interstate 69 on Saturday.
They decided to search the vehicle of 31 year old Kyle Horstman after smelling marijuana.
Police found several syringes, as well as a handgun in pieces.
Horstman was arrested and charged with prior possession, felon carrying a handgun, operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
He is detained at the Pike County Jail without bond.
