One person is dead following a shooting on Evansville’s west side late this morning.
Police were called to 2609 West Indian Street about 10:215 this morning.
A third party told of hearing gunshots coming from that house with the belief that someone had been shot.
A suspect left the scene in a car, and drove to Henderson.
But officers were able to make contact with the suspect and talk him into returning to Indiana.
His car was stopped near Waterworks Road and the suspect was taken into custody.
Neither the suspect’s nor the victim’s names have yet been released.
