Officers were called to the 1000 block of West Franklin Street because of a man being uncooperative in the area of Schnute Towers.
When he saw that police had turned on their emergency lights, the suspect ran.
Officials say, they caught up with 40 year old David White Jr. and upon searching him, found baggies of a crystal like substance.
That substance, tested positive for meth and fentanyl.
The total weight of the drugs came out to be about 39 grams.
White is charged with resisting law enforcement, drug dealing and is in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
