Two people led Evansville police on a chase that started on the west side and ended on the east side at Covert and Newburgh Road.
The suspect’s tires blew after running over stop sticks, deputies say that’s when 36 year old Ryan Winebrenner, jumped out and started running.
While he was fleeing the scene he tossed approximately five grams of meth on the ground.
K-9 Dozer was sent after the suspect.
Deputies say, Winebrenner punched Dozer several times before taken into custody.
The passenger 37 year old Jimmy Ray Mitchell Jr. was also arrested.
An additional 11.5 grams of meth and an altered shot gun were found at the scene.
