Two houses caught fire in the 1400 block of South Barker, on Evansville’s west side, late Tuesday night.
Evansville Division Chief Mike Larson says one house is destroyed, while damage was sustained to the house north of it.
Fire officials say it took around a hour to extinguish the fire and they will continue to monitor the scene for hot spots, although all units have not left the scene.
Three people from one house and two from the other have been displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
