The candle factory in Mayfield, Kentucky destroyed in last months tornado will not be rebuilt.
This was stated in a letter to Kentucky’s Office of Employer services.
Some of the 501 employees will be offered jobs 10 miles away.
Around 250 employees will be laid off permanently.
Some of the surviving employees have filed a lawsuit against their employer.
Former employee Elijah Johnson says, the company required them to continue working or face discipline, despite the warnings of dangerous weather approaching.
