Deep fryer fires cause at least five deaths, sixty injuries, and $15 million in property damage each year.
Evansville firefighter Mike Larson says, “The flames from the fryer have no place to go but down on top of you”.
Firefighters urge you to read the instructions, and never use water to put out the fire.
